2.0     How to Begin

2.1              Lodge WM contacts CE Regional Sub-Chair:

2.11    Find Which CE Region Facilitates Your Lodge - Click Here

2.12    Contact CE Regional Sub-Chair for Your Region - Click Here

2.2              Lodge CE Manager Chosen & Team Assembled:

Definitions: (a) Sitting refers to the time when 1st Level CE is initiated, (b) Sponsors refer to Lodge Leadership that is NOT on active Lodge CE Team - only supports and encourages.

Assumptions: The following Team guidelines assume that the Lodge first initiates joining 1st Level CE in September.  Being a two-year Program it would be reasonable to assume that the Sitting JW at the time when 3rd Level ends (May) that he would be a WM at mid-point of his time in the East and the Sitting SD would be the SW (at the end of 3rd Level CE) and be preparing his Annual Plan for the time he will be elected to the East in November.

2.21          Ex-Officio Members -

1.                  Sitting WM – Called - Initiating Sponsor (Initiates CE)

2.                  Sitting SW – Called – Governing Sponsor (Manages CE as WM in Nov.)

3.        Sitting JW – Called - Inheriting Sponsor (First WM w/ CE Trained Lodge)

2.21     Operating Team- (Minimum 5 – Max 7)

            1.         Sitting SDLodge CE Manager

            2.         Sitting JD – Member

            3.         Sitting SS – Member

            4.         Sitting JS – Member

               5.         Sitting Marshall/Tyler/Other - Member (s)

NOTES:

1.    The Lodge CE Manager can be someone other than the sitting SD - He already may have much to do.  However, it's very important that the SD at least be on the CE Lodge Team - Why?  Because in November - after Year Two - he will probably be SW and he could benefit by using CE to help him plan for his year as WM.

2.    The Lodge CE Team is ideally composed on the Progressive Line.  However, the requirement for membership should be any Lodge Member with Fire-In-The Belly - an intense desire to move the Lodge forward.  Any such person will be a potential future Lodge Leader and CE is a good place for them to become immersed.
